What Is "SRT" And Why Is It So Important?
The "SRT" in Jigsaw Magnesium w/SRT® stands for Sustained Release Technology, and it's the major difference that gives this product its superior effectiveness.
Instead of the magnesium being dumped into your system all at once, SRT slows down the release of magnesium so it's spread out over 8 hours, which allows your body to absorb the maximum it needs to start feeling your best... without the dreaded digestive discomfort that high doses of regular magnesium supplements can cause.*
What Size Dose Is High Enough?
The RDI for magnesium is 400mg per day, so everyone should at least get that much.
Jigsaw Health's recommended dose is a little higher at 500mg a day (or more, as bowel tolerance allows). This is because many people have been running low on magnesium for years and need more than the "minimum" to replenish their magnesium stores.
Some experts in the field — such as Dr. Russell Blaylock — recommend 1000mg a dayas the optimal dose to relieve the effects that can be connected to magnesium-deprived diets.*
Low Dose vs. High Dose Magnesium Supplements
Although there are thousands of cheaper magnesium supplements available, the simple truth is that you CANNOT replenish your body's magnesium stores with a cheap magnesium supplement.
Why? Because you cannot take high doses of a regular magnesium supplement without it causing a very uncomfortable laxative effect—your body's way of discarding high levels of magnesium that it is unable to absorb all at once. And the low doses you're restricted to simply won't deliver results.
So, yes other magnesium supplements cost less, but that doesn't matter much when the ONLY thing they will deliver — at high enough doses — is an extreme laxative effect.
Our SRT technology successfully addresses this issue by SLOWLY releasing a higher amount of magnesium, pacing it out over 6 to 8 hours—a rate at which your body can properly absorb and utilize the mineral. Your body gets the magnesium it's craving, without any digestive drama.*
What is Quatrefolic®?
Quatrefolic® (5-MTHF, or folate) is an active form of Vitamin B-9, folic acid. For many people, it is difficult to convert folic acid into folate.
Folate is an important co-factor to P5P and beneficial to many bodily functions. Together, these greatly improve Magnesium’s function supporting healthy muscular tone, enhancing overall energy, and promoting stable mood, calmness, and good sleep.

Why is Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate) included?
P5P (Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate), the active form of Vitamin B6, performs over 30 critical enzymatic reactions in the body, including the manufacture of serotonin and dopamine in the brain. The inactive forms of B6 (pyridoxine hydro-chloride, pyridoxal, or pyridoxamine) have to be converted by the liver to the active form (Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate or P5P) the body needs. Individuals with compromised liver function have difficulty making this conversion and consequently may be at risk of a vitamin B6 deficiency.
P5P works synergistically with Magnesium in many kinds of ways, including relaxing muscles and nerves. A deficiency in either causes many issues where the body depends on both Mg and P5P. We put them together because it is not unusual for people with chronic illness to not make P5P effectively. It is critical to get both.
Since Vitamin B6 is already difficult to get and convert into its usable form, we give it to you already in its active P5P form. All the benefits are available immediately after absorption - no trouble converting or waiting.

What Are The Signs That The Body is Craving Magnesium?
When the body's magnesium stores are taxed—a common occurrence considering our magnesium-poor diets—the body provides some clear hints. Body aches, constipation, tension headaches, reduced energy, interrupted sleep, and many other indicators are the body's way of saying it wants more magnesium.* Magnesium is involved in more than 325 enzyme reactions. It's likely there are hundreds more that scientists have yet to discover.- No artificial colors or dyes

- No yeast
- No chemical additives
- No GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms)
- No gluten

Up to 80% of Americans are Running Low on Magnesium... Why?
The simplest answer is that our modern food supply (including organic food) simply doesn't contain the magnesium it should due to highly depleted soil conditions. Even back in 1915, there were worries about the nutrient quality of the soil, as found in a record of Congressional Testimony. So even if you eat healthy, it is likely that you are running low on this critical mineral. The impact of deficiency is significant and wide-ranging since magnesium plays a role in over 325 functions in the body. For example, if you are experiencing any of the following quirks, your body may be telling you that it's craving magnesium:- muscle twitches and "tics"
- "Charlie horse"
- generally achy muscles
- muscle tone that's not at its best
- headaches in response to day-to-day stress
- hormonal swings
- compromised energy levels
- high-strung stress response
- constipation
- compromised focus
- slow athletic recovery
- restless sleep
Of course, all these quirks can be indicators of some other health challenge. Always speak to your primary healthcare provider before adding supplemental magnesium, or any other dietary supplement, to your daily health program.*
Why Haven't My Blood Tests Shown That I Need Magnesium?
This is a very valid question. And it has a very logical answer... Approximately 50% of total body magnesium is found in bone. The other half is found predominantly inside cells of body tissues and organs. Only 1% of the body's magnesium supply is found in blood, and the body works very hard to keep blood levels of magnesium constant. If your body is running low on magnesium, blood levels take top priority and are maintained at the expense of the bones and cells.Given this, it's easy to see why blood tests could misrepresent the real status of magnesium levels in the body. Relying solely on blood tests to check magnesium levels — instead of signs of magnesium craving (and the realization that up to 80 percent of the population is running low) — can cause us to miss an important piece in the whole health puzzle.*
What Role Does Magnesium Play in Energy Production?
One of the primary roles of magnesium is to activate adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the energy storage molecule, to create and store energy. Without magnesium, there is no energy. Without energy, there is no life.
What Role Does Magnesium Play in Supporting Muscle Relaxation?
Another important role of magnesium is to work with calcium to help regulate the body's nerve function and muscle tone. In many nerve cells, magnesium serves as a chemical gate blocker – as long as there is enough magnesium around, calcium can't rush into the nerve cell and activate the nerve. This gate blocking by magnesium helps keep nerves in a healthy relaxed state.
If your diet provides you with too little magnesium, this gate blocking can fail and the nerve cell can become over-activated. When nerve cells are over-activated, they can send too many messages to the muscles and cause the muscles to over-contract. One often over-looked cause of tight muscles is too much calcium.*
This chain of events helps explain how a magnesium-depleted diet can ultimately lead to the body's signs of magnesium-craving: muscle tension, soreness, muscle twitches, mild muscle cramps, and overall muscular fatigue especially in the back and legs where some of the body's largest muscles live.
